"HAPPY BRIFDAY STEVE"
Nobody likes mistakes on their birthday cakes! The order management software used by most bakeries is poor, creating ruined birthdays, stolen time, and lost money for these Mainstreet businesses. We're using our decade of experience in the bakery software business to help retail and wholesale bakeries with a new SaaS product that makes their lives a little sweeter.
We're seeking a Software Engineer to lead our development efforts. You will have a key role in determining OrderNova's technical design, development, testing, and implementation, reporting directly to our owners. You will also build our engineering team from the ground up. We expect to add at least one junior engineer in 2018.
We're a small team, so most importantly we are looking for a good culture fit. At OrderNova we believe that Work/Life balance is important. We work to live, not live to work. We also believe in Honesty, Quality, Achievement, and Kindness. We like to laugh a lot too.
Since you'll own our technical architecture, you must be able to work effectively with Rails 5 and Angular 4. You'll also need the communication skills necessary to transition development from our partner to in-house.
We would be really excited about someone with experience or familiarity with the following technologies/development methodologies:
Git + Heroku + TDD + Agile
RxJs + ngrx
OrderNova is a new idea based on over a decade of experience in the bakery software business. We've partnered with a local development firm to mix some of the ingredients but we need you to bake this cake! (Not really, this is an engineering job.) In your first 90 days, you'll work with our partner to transition development and operations away from them.
We are an established, profitable company that has been in business for over 10 years. Our office is at the Startup Alley at Union 525 in Downtown Indianapolis. Our work atmosphere is casual, friendly, and customer-oriented. We have several projects planned to help facilitate our growth, so you will be exposed to a lot of the aspects of growing a startup.
Benefits include up to 3 weeks paid vacation, a competitive salary, little to no travel, flexible hours, and a casual dress code. We also provide insurance and 401(k). We'll probably buy you a cup of coffee every once in a while, too.
While we would prefer a local candidate we are open to a remote hire. If you are not based in the Indianapolis metro, you will need to have previous remote work experience, work on a US Eastern time schedule and be willing to travel to Indianapolis for onboarding and semi-annual team events.
So, if you are up to the challenge of developing a robust application in a fun environment and are serious about making the world a sweeter place, email with your resume and a couple sentences about what attracted you to us.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Sorry, but we don't do H1B Visa sponsorship. No recruiters, please.
