About the Role

At thredUP, we're revolutionizing the clothing industry and we're looking for a full-stack engineer to bolster the technical depth of our web engineering team. The role will be mixed between front-end development on our modern stack (Node.js, React, Redux, Webpack) and back-end development on our Node.js and Ruby applications. Responsibilities
    • Write reusable, scalable web components using ES6 JavaScript and React/Redux, Sass, and semantic HTML using Webpack 3 asset pipeline
    • Work with Node.js and Express for isomorphic server side rendering
    • Facilitate API needs for ongoing feature development
    • Collaborate with engineering leaders to make progress on our application architecture
    • Work with other engineers to design & formalize data contracts
    • Formalize best practices, documentation, and versioning regarding APIs
    • Participate in an engineering team that performs thorough code reviews and frequent deploys that are well tested
    • Work closely with product management and product design to build a great experience for our customers
    • Help improve our engineering processes and culture
Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience building web applications and services
    • Motivated to work in a fast-paced start-up environment while embracing uncertainty
    • Experience with Ruby and Ruby based frameworks
    • Believer in testing, especially unit tests and automated solutions
    • (Bonus) Experience with Node.js and Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks
