Senior-Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS,Jenkins, Puppet, Python, Ruby)

One of the world's major providers of scientific, medical and technical information is looking to bring on a Senior Devops Engineer in their Philadelphia location. Notorious for being one of Philadelphia's premier tech organizations and are really committed to investing in technology and expanding what's possible. This role is team collaboration focused with projects that include automating and enhancing developer efficiency for their developers to effectively run and deploy their code. The ideal candidate will have an "infrastructure as code" mentality and want to help to establish best-practices for all DevOps activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years full time experience in DevOps, systems administration or related role.
  • Strong AWS background
  • Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Fabric; bonus for Docker, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Puppet for configuration management
  • Experience with a dynamic scripting language like Python or Ruby, and Linux command-line tools
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure and pipeline
  • Background in an Agile Team environment.
  • Microsoft; Linux Server utilization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective project and time management skills.
  • What You Will Be Doing

    Tech Breakdown

  • 40% Scripting in either Python or Ruby
  • 30% Basic AWS cloud infrastructure and service computing
  • 20% configuration management using Puppet
  • 10% CI/CD pipelining using Jenkins
