Job Title: Senior Data Engineer with Ruby + Python

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: As of now remote

SQL/Data Experience

• Must be fluent in SQL
• Must be familiar with Postgres and extensions for Postgres (Vector)
• Must be familiar with JSON data format and JSON manipulation in postgres
• Should have experience in RedShift (basic clustering, keying, importing data)

• Should have familiarity with Kinesis, Firehose
• Have a passion for optimizing data retrieval and understanding the data
• Have a passion for interpreting data and investigating any unique properties for errors or conclusions

Coding

• Should be familiar with Ruby to read and understand existing code (not to write code)

• Must have python coding experience, specifically
• Creating and implementing API endpoints
• Generating SQL without an ORM and validating inputs
• Batch processing of data and creating summary records
• Optimizing queries for fast returns

• Filtering and manipulating JSON data
• Basic authentication and security principles (oauth, basic auth, etc)

• Understand how to balance SQL functions and queries with code-level filtering
• Basic knowledge of docker containers (how to build, tag, run)
