Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $63.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to join their team remotely. This is a W2, Contract position.

-3+ years with Python AND Ruby, should feel equally as comfortable with both -Re-writing product/application - currently in Ruby and will re-write it in Python - Part of position is automating the intake process for the portal (automation experience will help) -Will be sole developer doing Ruby and Python work -The product is built on Postgres DB

Responsibility • TDD using Ruby on Rails or JavaScript Frameworks • Owns and Responsible for the working of all modules, features, bugs in the application • Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers • Exhibits a well-rounded understanding of the Ruby ecosystem while suggesting better approaches to solving problems • A presence in the Ruby community will be highly desired • Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software • Oversees testing and develops fixes
Skills • Bachelor's degree in a related area and 3 to 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area • Expertise of diverse technology stacks • Highly Skilled with debugging tools and performance tuning • Expert with multi-tenant systems, secure coding practices, and authentication/authorization • Expert in Ruby with a distinguished track record of solving difficult and complex problems efficiently • Excellent Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field • A certain degree of creativity and latitude required • Typically reports to a project leader or manager
