# Job Description

**Position:** **Ruby on Rails Developer**

**Location:** **Poway, CA**

**RESPONSIBILITES**

+ Gather requirements, propose designs, write code, writes tests and write user documentation in the process of implementing new features

+ Manage and support enterprise-wide linux-based systems which run on Ruby-on-Rails and .NET

+ Perform and participate in peer reviews of all deliverables.

+ Work collaboratively with users and peers to define the best UX/UI designs possible.

+ Perform all duties necessary to ensure continued system reliability and uptime.

**REQUIREMENTS**

+ **5+ years** of **Ruby-on-Rails** development experience

+ Knowledge of **HTML5** , **SASS** , **jQuery** , **Backbone.js** and other current web technologies and frameworks is a strong plus

+ Must be self-motivated and a quick learner, as the expectation is to continue learning on the job

+ Must be able to communicate ideas clearly to both the team, end-users and upper management
