Concordia Publishing House (CPH), the publishing arm of The Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod (LCMS), is seeking a Full Stack Developer in our Emerging Products group to contribute to the creation and maintenance of web applications. This individual will become part of a team which is responsible for the internal and external quality of our source code. This individual works well as a member of our team and is dedicated to learning and improving his/her craft. Specific responsibilities of Developers include:Develop new features guided by automated testsResolve alerts in the target timeRefactor source code to clarify its intentContribute to the design (visual and architectural) of projectsLearn new techniques or languages to grow as a developerThe ideal candidate will possess:A bachelors degree in Computer Science or comparable experience.Experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails (experience maintaining a Web app in Production a plus).A solid understanding of Web development (HTTP, DNS, Client-Server architecture, etc.).Experience with client-side web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Experience with JavaScript tools (Ember.js, Angular.js, Backbone.js, ES6, CoffeeScript).Experience with relational databases (Postgres a plus).Competency with Git and Git-based workflows.
