Airspace Technologies is a time-critical logistics startup. Were what happens when next-day shipping isnt fast enough! From Airplane parts to movie reels and even human organs, our software is revolutionizing the industry by giving shippers a view of their packages in every stage of its transportation. We calculate optimal routes, track airplanes in flight, and automatically dispatch drivers using our native mobile app. We have the obligatory pantry full of snacks, fun company activities, unlimited PTO, gym subsidy, and a growing list of benefits that keep employees happy. Airspace is growing! We are an agile-ish team looking for a full stack developer who can who can pick up a story, ask the right questions to get it done, and deliver a feature or fix that is well tested and maintainable. On the front end we use React + MobX, and on the back end we use Ruby on Rails. Familiarity with both is preferred, though we understand you may be more proficient in one over the other. In general we are looking for a team member who is results oriented and keen on producing high quality software. What you will do: Work with our product team to understand the technical needs of features and fixes Work with our QA team to ensure acceptance criteria is met and regressions are avoided Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code Maintain code quality through test automation and peer code reviews Collaborate with a team of smart, friendly engineers to develop solutions unique to logistics. What you will bring: A friendly, humble personality that understands priorities and is hungry to learn 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience A thorough understanding of full stack development using a modern JavaScript framework, APIs, and microservices.
