Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 per year

• You're self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end (our design team might be better here) developers with server side logic
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization
• Basic testing for core features

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience working in full stack development
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec, Sidekiq, Redis, SQS.
• Expert understanding of the syntax of Ruby
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming - and design patterns
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages
• SQL (postgresql, index tuning, Redshift)
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (react/js/html/erb/css)
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
• Familiarity with integrating 3rd party APIs with and without Gems
• A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code with and without lint checks
• Proficient in Linux/Unix/Mac/Bash
• Understanding of common hosting and SaaS services (AWS: SQS, S3, RDS)
