The Squires Group, Inc. has multiple contract opportunities for Mid-Level JavaScript and Ruby on Rails Developers to join an AGILE Development project for a Federal Agency in Arlington, VA . As a JavaScript and Ruby on Rails Developer, you will join a team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for Federal Service Agencies. This is an urgent need!


Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens , eligible to pass the client's background requirements. Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners and colleagues to interpret feature requests and develop software in iterative design/build/test cycles using an Agile development process for a responsive web application
  • Drawing on components from the project's open-source framework, use JavaScript, React.JS, RESTful web services, and Ruby on Rails to design, build and test software components for citizens and employees
  • Develop front-end user interface components using JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and back-end APIs to support the front-end application
  • Regularly check code into the continuous integration pipeline based on Jenkins to incrementally build the overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance
  • Develop and expand unit and integration tests which will be automatically run by the build pipeline for developer feedback using JUnit and other tools like Cucumber, JMeter, and Selenium
Qualifications
  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineer, Business, or related field
  • 4 + years of experience with the following:
    • Application development
    • Ruby on Rails
    • Java and JavaScript (e.g., React.js)
    • HTML experience
  • Using and managing change management tools, Git, Subversion, TortoiseSVN, and build server software (Jenkins/Hudson/Bamboo)
  • AGILE Development experience
  • Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens , eligible to pass the client's background requirements
