The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in the design and development of interactive, web-based education, publishing, and/or reference software, from user experience design to system architecture.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in computer science, software engineering, digital design/arts, or a related technical field. Extensive knowledge and experience in all phases of the application design and development process is mandatory. Specifically crucial are those related to early phases of product design such as user experience analysis/design and iterative prototype development. Candidates must have experience with current techniques used to develop interactive web applications in an agile environment. Experience developing mobile web applications is a plus. Experience with multiple languages, platforms, and frameworks is desirable, though advanced knowledge of the Ruby on Rails framework as well as rich browser-based user interface development approaches including CSS and Javascript libraries and frameworks are of primary importance.
