Description
Our client is seeking a talented, ambitious individual to fill the role of Ruby on Rail Software Developer. The Ruby on Rails Software Engineer will develop web services and applications for account management and community elements of online games. Ideal candidates have a desire to develop high performance, secure and scalable web applications that can support the demands of a AAA game launch, work collaboratively on a small team, have a passion for writing clean code and have a strong history of getting things done in a timely and practical manner with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and build Ruby on Rails applications
• Work with QA and Operations to test and publish applications
• Create and maintain automated tests
• Integrate with other internal services and third party systems
REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years of experience creating and deploying web applications
• 1+ year experience with the Ruby language and the Rails framework
• Must have a working knowledge of the entire Ruby on Rails stack
• Experience with Apache on Linux and Passenger
• Familiarity with ecommerce and online credit card processing
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working in an agile/iterative development process
• Must have a strong foundation in object oriented programming and practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
