Ruby on Rails Developer

Devonshire are partnering with one of Europe’s most recognised e-commerce agancies to assist in the hiring of a Ruby on Rails Developer/Opensource enthusiast for their London office.

As a Ruby on Rails Developer you will directly on integrating new functionalities/web based applications to help increase consumer spend with the companies external clients within a growing team of 6 using paired programming methodologies. Current clients included Currys, play.com and Tesco’s!

• In-depth OOD/OOP knowledge
• A solid programming background in Ruby/Ruby on Rails
• Exposure to the paired programming or Agile (TDD) environment using RSpec, Cucumber or Factory_Girl
• Good understanding of MySQL/SQL database
• Be comfortable working on a MAC
• Have good front-end scripting skills - (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries (i.e. Prototype, JQuery, Scriptaculous etc)
