Web Architect/Senior Software Engineer

Devonshire are partnering with one of the UK’s leading Web and Design Agencies to assist in the hiring of two Ruby on Rails Developer’s for their Berkshire office.

As a Web Architect/Senior Software Engineer you will join a 10+ team of highly skilled developers to build a series of major enhancements to the client’s online platform and infrastructure. You will take ownership of .high availability transactional systems, helping to analyse, design and implement improvements to ensure they can scale effectively.

• A programming background in Java/Scala/Ruby or Erlang
• Exposure to the Agile (TDD) environment
• Good understanding of MySQL/SQL database
• Unix/Linux command line exposure
• Understand the challenges of building a large, complex web applications.
