Junior Ruby on Rails developer

In 2009 TouchLocal doubled its turnover to £9.3m and as a result of our continued growth, we are currently
recruiting for.

Description:
• Develop new features for existing website and create new projects as required
• Support the team with testing and giving feedback/ideas
• Maintenance of the Touchlocal website – Raising and resolving issues, fixing bugs, refactoring code
etc
• Liaising with other departments daily and turning specs into technical requirements

• Ruby on Rails knowledge
• Interest and passion for ruby on rails, open source and web development
• Effective communicator
• Excellent spoken and written English

• Ability to work under tight deadlines, willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
• Mysql (SQL, query optimization, database design)
• SVN, git
• Some experience with legacy code (refactoring)
• Standard CSS, XML and XHTML experience
• Knowledge of TDD/ BDD with cucumber a huge plus
• Javascript (JQuery), Linux, JSON
