Junior Ruby on Rails Developer

TelVue Corporation is seeking an energetic developer looking for a junior position where they can work with many different technologies. TelVue Corporation creates Linux-based Broadcast Automation Applications and Video Servers that help our clients manage and deliver television channels, as well as stream their content on the Internet. This is a chance to work with a sophisticated media application written in Ruby on Rails and being used every day in the broadcast industry. We are looking for someone excited to work with several of the major development and operating environments in-use today including Ruby on Rails, Microsoft .Net, and Linux.

* Ruby and Ruby on Rails
* Javascript/Ajax, HTML, and CSS
* Relational databases

* Linux including 2.4 and 2.6 kernels, hardware and software install, OS management, etc.
* Microsoft .Net, C#
* Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development
* Flash including ActionScript
* MySQL 4.x and 5.x and Microsoft SQL Server
* Familiarity with Scrum or Agile development methods
* Experience with media applications including content management systems, digital asset management systems, streaming video servers, IPTV, and broadcast television
