Ruby on Rails King or Queen - FT Contract

I need a dynamic Ruby on Rails dev to come and help a top 40 website (us, whitepages.com) to build new apps for our site.

Here is the description (as described by a non-technical manager):

· In depth knowledge of CSS and HTML/XHTML

· Experience with JavaScript and/or ActionScript

· Basic understanding of software development life cycle

· Ability to write clean code that works

· Ability to code in at least one of: Perl, Ruby, Java, Python, C#/C++/C

· Experience developing in a Linux environment

Probably something like:

- Unix or Linux or Ubuntu experience
- Ruby on Rails experience
- Bonus Flash/Flex/AIR experience
- Scripting (AS or JS)
- Databases (MySQL and/or SyBase)
- Good UI exposure - HTML, Ajax, JQuery, etc

as above.
