Ruby on Rails Developers - Hamburg - Agile - Permanent only

Software Engineer required by my client one of Europes largest local review sites who can boast 18 million visitors per month to be based in central Hamburg.

The team is currently 6 strong and in 2010 we are looking to significantly increase that to support the increased traffic and number of products being offered.

At least 2 years experience software development, preferably in a web environment dealing with large datasets and traffic.

Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of team, self-motivated to solve difficult problems.

Strong Ruby on Rails experience required, fluency in this technology would be preferred.

Experience of working with agile methodologies.

BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

English speaking is essential.

iPhone or Android development experience a plus.

SQL experience, particularly MySQL would be a plus.

Lucene/SOLR experience a plus.

German speaking advantageous.

MSc or PhD preferred.
