Required Skills: |
What you need to demonstrate:
* 3+ years solid experience developing Ruby on Rails applications
* Minimum 5 years track record of successful large scale web application development and implementation.
* Disciplined approach to software development, Test Driven Development, and Agile methodology.
* Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
* Experience with jQuery, Prototype, and YUI.
* Aggressive at refactoring / rewriting old code for efficiency and scalability.
* BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Strong *NIX or BSD background, including configuration, management, care and feeding of *NIX or BSD machines and their services (apache, postfix, monit, etc)
* Familiarity with git (or other distributed Source Control Management), and good SCM practices.
