Awesome 3-4 month Contract-To-Hire opportunity with our local Portland Oregon client. We are looking for the best of the best, an outstanding Ruby On Rails developer to join an award winning development team. They are an established full-service interactive agency specializing in interactive marketing and communications.
Working in this role you will:
Work on several open source projects at one time; collaborate with other highly skilled RoR developers. You will be responsible for problem solving, meeting obtainable deadlines, utilizing: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and basic web UX standards. In this role you must obtain extraordinary communication skills and be exciting about learning new, cutting edge technologies. Prior experience working in a test-driven, AGILE methodology with strong QA knowledge of writing automated test scripts, fixing bugs to enhance existing features is preferred. Proven experience in a UNIX operating system, JavaScript and knowledge of relational database design and normalization. A bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required. We are looking for a developer with 3-5 years experience developing in Ruby on Rails managing a development team as a lead developer. Please be ready to work directly with outside clients, helping define requirements and architecting new systems.
