Overview
Kickball is a well-funded Silicon Valley startup building creative tools and a marketplace for digital goods, initially focused on artwork and graphic design - check out Sketchfu.com for an early example of our work. Since starting up last year, our network of sites has quickly grown to over 600,000 registered users creating 100,000 items a week - all of this created by an elite team of 5 engineers. Kickball is backed by top-tier investors who have built successes like Twitter, Netscape, MySQL, Skype, and many others.

The engineering team is lean and quick - we use paper prototyping, agile development, test driven development, and A/B testing to deploy daily releases to the world. Engineers are directly involved in business decisions like user acquisition and monetization, and receive constant feedback from customers via analytics and e-mail contact. Our development stack is 100% open source and is built on Ruby on Rails.
