Software Engineer

Do you want to work with smart, creative people building great software while using progressive tools in a small team environment? Ingram Digital - Education Solutions software and systems deliver eBooks and audiobooks to a large, active user base everyday. We are looking for an intermediate level Software Engineer to to work with our team building the next generation of class-leading software products. Ideally, positions will be located in and work with teams in the Austin, TX or Raleigh, NC area. Remote home office locations may also be considered.

Please note this is a full-time, salaried position. No contractors or recruiters, please.

• one to four years experience developing and supporting web applications
• experience with JavaScript (AJAX), Ruby, and Rails
• excellent written and verbal skills

• ability to work well with minimal technical direction
• experience working with a virtual team
• interest in current software development best practices
• familiarity with a wide variety of software development methodologies, tools, languages and approaches

Pluses:

• Bachelors degree in CS or related field or associates degree with additional experience
• ecommerce experience
