Website Developer/Producer

This is an internal, on-site, full-time position to execute website design, content, and functionality updates; implement daily maintenance, add and enhance functionality, and manage external partners/resources as required. Key focus points would be on managing and maintaining:
- Our consumer ecommerce site (currently running on and content-managed via Ruby on Rails).
- Our partner/sales portal and other web-based properties.
- Marketing’s support of key sales initiatives.

The talented individual who eventually fills this position:
• Understands/implements creative, technical and functional site enhancements
• Creates and designs prototypes, codes, and tests solutions
• Identifies deficiencies and implements solutions
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues
• Proactively enhances management tools and capabilities

Coding/Applications
Demonstrates capabilities/technical proficiency in:
• Ruby-on-Rails, AJAX
• HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS
• Javascript and Flash (ActionScript 2/3)
• eCommerce/DB/CRM apps familiarity: (site current uses Netsuite and Authorize.net)
• Wordpress/blog creation and related applications
• Video/multimedia apps, embedding and coding (QT, Real, YouTube, etc.)
• Tags/page coding structures for search engine optimization

Project Management
• Maintains development deadlines/schedules
• Resourcefully coordinates with internal/external resources to complete projects
• Understands necessity of and contributes to coding standards
• Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively

Collaboration
• Promotes coordination and openness with other team members and contributors
• Follows through on commitments and responsibilities
