Description:

At G5 Search Marketing, we believe in the concept of standing on the shoulders of giants. We are a rapidly growing Internet company headquartered in downtown Bend, Oregon; and just as importantly have been profitable since our inception in 2005. Our Local Search Marketing Platform was built using Ruby on Rails (RoR) as a framework and has enjoyed unparalleled success in the burgeoning online marketing space.
Our team of talented Rails programmers is seeking to expand the size of our group.
Here’s a sampling of some of the activities for which we have immediate need of your skills:
• Get Capistrano up and running
• Work on the internationalization of our platform, using the globalize (or your recommendation?) plugin
• Extrapolate some of our long running processes to backgroundrb
• Evaluate some of our data storage needs using Amazon S3 service

If these are the types of activities that sound like a fun day at the office, well then you’ve come to the right place. G5 offers a fast-paced work environment, competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a chance to change the world.

What is in it for you:
• Work for an energetic, cutting edge start up company
• Opportunity for rapid growth
• Contribute new and innovative ideas
• Decent base salary, stock options, full benefits, compensation depends on experience.

Required Skills:

There are two openings that we are seeking to fill with systems engineers who possess a working knowledge of RoR and who have at least one production RoR website under their belt.
Assuming you fit that bill, we’re guessing you also:
• Have a strong software development background and are familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Are comfortable with a command line, and can navigate your way through Linux, Apache, and MySQL
• Know what SVN is; Be familiar with Git
• Can take an idea from concept to finished code.
