This job is for those in Seattle only and will entail the handling of support questions and custom deployments of Rails developers on Shared, Reseller, VPS, and Dedicated Plans. You'll need to keep up with Rails news/updates and play around with new gems/plugins and software coming from the community. First month or so will be on site for training (normal business hours) and then telecommuting with flexible hours. Linux SysAdmin experience, a solid understanding of the Rails framework in and out of a RESTful/Resourceful paradigm, history with Capistrano deployments to a variety of server architectures from both Windows and Mac/*nix platforms, clear and articulate written English communication skills, and a desire to stay long-term and scale up with HostingRails.

Familiarity with Merb, Turbogears, Django, and other web frameworks. PHP, PERL, PYTHON, and/or JAVA background. cPanel/WHM experience. Familiarity with RHEL 4&5, Apache2, Nginx, LiteSpeed, Sendmail & Exim.
