EastMedia Looking for Full-time Ruby/Rails Developer Immediately

EastMedia is looking to add a full-time, in-house Ruby/Rails developer immediately. We are an established Web and mobile software shop in NYC doing full-time Rails development. We are active in the Ruby/Rails community. We sponsored Mongrel in its early days and built the Rails OpenID server for VeriSign. We have a rock star team of developers and designers and are looking to make it even better.

We are looking for someone in NYC, unless you can demonstrate that you are a remarkably responsible telecommuter. The more Rails / Ruby experience the better, but you don't need to be an expert already. You must, above all, be smart, eager to learn, and interested in working on challenging projects.

We have a number of internal and client projects and would like to build our team immediately.

* Solid, demonstrable experience with Ruby on Rails required, including code samples
* Working with XHTML/CSS (not necessarily design)
* Comfortable with *nix, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Lighttpd, Apache, Mongrel, general sysadmin tasks
* Familiarity with modern dev environment tools (svn, trac, campfire, etc.)

* Ajax / JS experience a big plus
* You can work on a small team, take direction and delegation
* You like to document (not excessively, just reasonably)
* You know how to execute on your own
* You can participate / contribute in app features/design
* You like to build Rails apps (who doesn't?) and have fun working on cool projects
* You like to play around with and keep up with the rapidly evolving rails / ajax / web app universe
