EMEX Power, a rapidly-growing online electricity broker, helps businesses find the best electricity rates in their area. We're building a revolutionary platform that will change the way commercial power is bought and sold in the US.
We are looking for a full-time software engineer with a focus on Ruby and Rails, or the chops to pick it up quickly. This is a full-time, remote position (US only). Our distributed team collaborates via Campfire and Skype.

What we're looking for in you:
- Expertise in Ruby and RoR.
- A mind for software design. This position will involve making architectural decisions and impacting how we model our domain.
- Ability to work on the full web application stack, from the database to the client-side (design skills not required, though.) Experience with Ember.js or Backbone is a plus.
- Focused on quality and detail. Dealing with electricity prices means the things we work on can have an immediate impact on our bottom line. You care about ensuring quality through testing and code reviews.
- Excellent communication. You seek out clear requirements, give and take feedback well, and value listening.
- A history of finishing sizable projects.
This is a US-only position. No agencies, please - only individuals with the ability to take a full-time position.
